Rita Melo is an artist born in 1982 in the Portuguese city of Oporto, with a degree in Escola Universitaria das Artes of Coimbra, Post-graduation by Universidade de Belas Artes of Lisboa in the same variant and a master in Visual Arts by Universidade de Évora. She’s exhibiting her work since 1999 in galleries and Biennial Exhibitions of Contemporary Art. The selection of works presented here are not only oil paintings but some use mixed techniques. “(…) photographs are the source of my painting.
